Furaffinity.net has a page where you can fill out information on commissions. Using this, and the prices I am used to thinking of when I think of the cost of artwork, I thought I would just go ahead and open myself to commissions. The way I see it, if I wait until my artwork is good enough for me, it'll never be done.
These prices are semi-negotiable except under special circumstances, and they range based on the complexity of what you ask of me. I am studying to be a professional artist and I am tight for money. Supplies are expensive, and I cannot afford to undersell myself.
Sketched Work: $10-$20
Inked Work: $15-$50
Price varies based on the type of ink and the detail requested.
Digital Work: $15-$50
Extra Option 1: Traditional Rendering: $20-$30
Colored pencil, charcoal, pastel, chalk, ect. $20-$50
Extra Option 2: Clay Modeling: $10-$100
Price varies based on size, medium, and complexity. I won't charge thirty dollars for a figurine standing two inches tall, but I can't charge it for a coiled earthenware vase with an expensive glaze and detailed designs, either. Simple bowls might be about $20, and a standard vase or candle holder might be $30.

This is a textual area to show what you are currently working on, anything you want people to see about your art status.

(2) Character request - it is family and I have no place asking money from people who bail me out of bank debt and pay to put my car in the shop.
Artist History
Just some filler information, just to let people know who you are...
Tools of the trade: Pencils, Micron Pens, Adobe Photoshop 7, Inkscape, Microsoft Publisher, Paint.NET, Corel Painter Essentials 3, Wacom Bamboo Tablet
Years of experience: 5
Historical information pertaining to yourself: I've always been drawing since I could hold a pencil or pen or whathaveyou, but officially I have been calling myself an artist for five years, and have considered my art sell-able for about a year. I grew up with a freelance artist and readily available biographies of famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, Edgar Degas, and Georgia O'Keefe. I learned to draw from a book on drawing cats (inspiration and instruction books I've enjoyed having around: [link])
Main thing about commissions is that I need sources if you want anything specific. Original artwork, stock art, any photos, costumes, references, poses, similar works, ect. are helpful. I do not copy the works of others, but suggestions as to how to shape a nose, what kind of background to use, what style I should emulate, how to dress a figure, ect. are immensely helpful. Even just a piece of writing or something or a good description of what you want is good.
I also do portraits of people and pets, and I do still lifes and landscapes, though I can't say I enjoy them as much.
- Traditional Renderings - do not include paintings. Usually, this means graphite or colored pencil. The difference between a traditional rendering and a sketch is that instead of drawing lines and sketching in light and shadow, I've just spent between 5 and 20 hours of my life rendering lights, shadows, textures, ect.
- Painting - cost can range from $50 to $300, depending on the size, complexity, and type of paint. No giant canvases, wood, glass, metal, ect. canvas board or acrylic paper. Some painters will even say that $300 is not enough. My canvases are not that big. You are paying for my art supplies and my time.
I am still learning - digital media. - I can design banners, flyers, and to some extent (with my given programs) logos. I am still learning to paint efficiently with a tablet (any advice is much loved). I also enjoy doing desktop backgrounds, web banners, icons, photomanipulation, and photo editing (no charge for simple editing jobs). What do you need? We can talk about it. I have little to no experience in web design. I'm trying to get on of my professors to help me with that.
If you know any good open source programs similiar to Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, please let me know! I cannot afford Adobe programs, and those are what I learned to use at school! I still want to produce vector work, I would like to be able to edit font shapes again, and I miss having a better layout program than Publisher! Nothing against Publisher, but there are things InDesign can do that Publisher cannot.
- Clay Modeling - can be ceramic (for now...) or oven-bake clay (if I can ever get my hands on it), and can include reliefs, beads, keychains, simple figures, or mugs and bowls and vases.
